I got my nose pierced on July 31st & my school does’nt allow nose piercings. i don’t know if my piercing will be FULLY healed my september. So i was wondering if i would change to a clear nose piercing retainer before fully healed?

I would let it heal as much as possible, make sure the retainer is absolutely sterile as you can get it & switch them. Then leave the retainer in until it is 100% healed, no more taking it out until then.
It may set you back a little but since you have the piercing all ready you’ll have to tough it out. But it should heal fine eventually. Dissolve some salt in water (google it for exact water – salt ratio) & apply with a cotton bud morning & night to minimize infection from disturbing the healing.

My best friend got her nose pierced & her school doesn’t allow them either but she is going to wear hers to school anyways, & if the school says something about it she is going to send her parents in to talk to them about it & in the long run she is going to be able to wear it because the school can’t do anything about it. But nose piercings take about 6 weeks to heal before it is “safe” to take them out. Anytime before that would be a high risk of infection…

Wait. Your nose will take about 4 months to heal, & removing the original piercing & putting something else in could lead to a bad infection.

Well, what day does your school start in september?
You should go back to your piercer & ask him/her & bring in the retainer & see if he/she will change it for you.

It wont be healed by September. But there should be no problem with putting a retainer in. I would wait to put a retainer in till you go back to school. It will be less painful if you wait.

It really depends on how close to healed it is by September. My friend’s healed pretty quickly– it was only about two weeks. If it’s still really sore by the time September rolls around, I wouldn’t change it. It would just take longer to heal. However, if it’s close to being healed, go for it. See how it feels, & if it doesn’t tolerate it, I’d take it out. Not worth an infection in the long run.

what is a nose retainer?

Nope. Just don’t get it done until the start of next summer break if your school’s dress code prohibits such a piercing.

My school had the exact same code no piercing( at least where there visible) but anyways what I did was but one of those clear nose piercings & kinda sneaked it around till it was fully healed ….It took ^ months so no I dont think it will heal by then…..soo I guess thats what I suggest you do unless you want to wait till next summer???
p.s I got mine at claires.
